Mmmm... chocolate...
This weekend we went to the Quail Botanical Garden's annual Chocolate Festival to celebrate Mother's Day. I've lived in San Diego my whole life and had never even heard of the gardens, but Ryan got free tickets through Rain Bird so we decided to check it out. The gardens are very beautiful - and we only saw a fraction of them. Of course, we spent a lot of time eating chocolate and not so much time checking out the gardens.

There were a bunch of chocolate vendors set up where you could do chocolate tastings with tickets. As we were purchasing out tickets a woman gave us a few of her extra tickets as she was leaving, so we got a few extra tastings. Needless to say, we had a lot of chocolate and lots of fun! Jacob got the hang of the whole tasting thing very quickly too. He kept wanting to hold the chocolate and not share.
Jacob literally playing in one of the gardens. This one is landscaped to look like an underwater coral reef - very pretty!
There were a few ladies with parrots in one section of the gardens. Out of all the kids, Jacob was the only one brave enough to let the birds sit on his arm. He, however, did not like it when the parrot started climbing up his arm.
