Potty Time!!!

Well, you knew this post was coming... it was just a matter of time.

Today was the first official day of potty training with Jacob. I decided it would be best to go cold turkey and wear only big boy underwear during the day. Jacob was super excited about wearing his big boy undies. Needless to say, there were a lot of accidents today - which was to be expected since he has never once told me that he has to go to the potty. We spent most of the day outside where cleanup is so much easier.

By about 6 pm Jacob kept telling me he had to go peepee, but nothing happened once we got to the bathroom. We went about our normal bedtime routine and were about to brush Jacob's teeth when he told me again he had to go peepee. We rushed into the bathroom and guess what? He went peepee in the potty!!! We immediately called Daddy to share the good news (he's in Tucson for business). Jacob was so proud of himself he could hardly contain himself - as was I.

We'll see how day 2 of cold-turkey potty training goes...
