Four Months
Dear Jacob,
Last week you had your four month birthday. The past month with you has been awesome! I know I said this last month, but you are becoming more and more fun with every passing day.
You are awake much more during the day and love to be where all the action is. You can no longer take naps while in your stroller or in the carrier because then you will be missing out! You really enjoy facing out in the front carrier so that you can see everything that is going on. People are always so amazed at how aware you are of your surroundings.
We purchased a Bumbo seat for you a few weeks ago, and you love it! The seat allows you to sit up without being held up and gives you the opportunity to see everything. I'll put the seat in front of the mirror and you will laugh and giggle at yourself. You love looking at yourself in the mirror. This seat also allows your to join us at the dinner table for dinner, where you love to contribute to the conversation.
I don't think you are necessarily teething yet, but you have started biting and chewing everything that comes remotely close to your mouth. You are also producing a lot of DROOL! Your dad and I are no longer safe when we carry you, there is a guarantee that you will leave your mark on us whether we like it or not.
You also experienced your first Halloween this month. You were a very scary Frankenstein. Although we didn't take you out trick-or-treating, we had you by the door to help pass out candy. However, you seemed to be a little afraid of all the kids coming to our door. Essentially, you spent your first Halloween crying, then asleep. Oh well, you'll have plenty more.
This month we also had special visitors form Colorado. You were able to meet Emma, Andy, and Sara. While they were here, we went lots of places you hadn't been to before - like the Wild Animal Park and the beach.
