What's that in your ear?

Jacob is really getting into the funny stage - he is so animated! Tonight, I was getting Jacob ready for bed, brushing his teeth and flossing. I looked into his ear and gasped "Oh, my goodness! What's in your ear?" The theatrics have a way of getting him on board with letting me clean his ears.

He turned to me and in his most serious voice and face replied, "I don't know mami. I was just swimming in the pool all day! Oh, no!" Then, with his face buried in his hands, "I didn't play in dirt today, just water."

He was very upset that his ears got dirty from playing in the pool. It was so cute that he couldn't figure out where the "dirt" came from!
