Losing a "new"

Jacob's umbilical cord stump fell off during the weekend. I guess he is not a new, new baby anymore, just a new baby.

We are settling into the routine of having a newborn in the house. You know, no sleep, getting used to the fussing and crying, and of course, changing dirty diapers.

Jacob is gaining weight very nicely - he weighed 7 lbs 15 oz last Monday, and yesterday he weighed in at 8 lbs 9oz!

As you can see, Jacob can't wait for Daddy to come home so the two of them can hang out together...
