Ethan is TWO!!!

My darling baby boy turned two today!
Jacob, Ethan, and I had a fun day in San Diego to celebrate. We had originally planned to spend the day at the beach, but gloomy weather had other plans for us. Instead, we went to Coronado where we took the ferry across the bay. It was so nice! The boys loved being on the ferry. We walked around Seaport Village, had lunch, then took the ferry back to Coronado with Lito. We spent some time in Coronado, then headed home for naps. We had a very busy morning!

Jacob is all about the funny faces. Where does he come up with them?

Can you believe this is the best picture I got of the three of us? I actually love this picture. You can get a sense of all the action (commotion) happening at the moment. The boys wanted to see the water, not take a picture. We are on a ferry, for goodness sake, mom!

The boys loved playing in this statue. They peeked their heads out and begged me to take a picture.

Ryan was unfortunately out of town today, so we had to celebrate Ethan's birthday with him in our thoughts. We had dinner at the Corvette Diner with Tio Joshua, Tita, and Lito. It was a lot of fun!
Very stylish!

Ethan had a "dirt" dessert with a candle! He blew the candle out immediately, before the waitresses had a chance to sing. Once they lit the candle again and sang, Ethan refused to blow it out. We finally convinced him to blow it out again :)

Lito enjoyed a classic root beer float! Yummy!

Jacob loved eating the gummy worms that were in the dirt. He didn't want to eat the dirt, because it is "yucky." I can't blame him, we constantly tell him that and how we tell him it's ok. Talk about confusing! However, he finally got over it and ate the mud with dirt (chocolate pudding and crushed Oreo)
