Six Months
Dear Jacob,
Today you are half a year old! It is truly amazing to me how much you have learned and grown in a mere six months. This month has been extremely busy - you had lots of visitors and celebrated your first holiday season.

This month you had a very special visit from your Uncle Jeff. He spent a lot of time just hanging out with you and helping you learn how to roll over.
You learned how to roll over front and back this month. You can now roll across the floor to get to something you want. It is quite fun to watch you. You love being on your tummy since you can see what is going on around you.

This month, your daddy gave you your first haircut! You were starting to get a little mullet, with the shorter hair on top and longer hair down your neck in the back. After much pleading from several people to "de-mullet" you, we finally did. You didn't seem to mind getting your hair cut, but you did squirm quite a bit. I must say you look much more handsome with your short cut!

We celebrated Christmas Eve this year with your Torres side of the family and then we celebrated on Christmas Day with the Walker side of the family. You were showered with lots of love and attention. Of course you had no idea what was going on except that there was a lot of activity. You couldn't quite rip the wrapping off your presents, but you did love to eat the paper and especially the ribbons!
Your daddy and I took you to the Wild Animal Park Festival of Lights. You were awake for all of 10 minutes before sleeping through the rest of the night. Oh well, maybe next year. However, you did seem to be intrigued by the lights you did see.

Most importantly, this month you took your first Mammoth Mountain Ski trip!!! You did extremely well on the 7 hour drive there and back. You experienced your first snowfall too. The weather was so cold that we didn't really spend much time outside though. It won't be too much longer before you are out on the slopes with us!

Happy 1/2 year son! Looking forward to the next six months.
Love,
Mami
